Art In A Pinch Casual Clamps for Quilts and Rugs
Our Casual Clamps display your quilt or rug quickly and conveniently. Simply place the edge of your quilt or textile between the two rails and tighten the knob on the clamp. Keyhole slots on the back make hanging on a wall easy. These clamps have a more informal look ideal for light-weight seasonal displays. Use two or more of these 4" clamps to hang your piece. Read on for more information on selecting your Casual Clamps.
*Please note: Casual Clamps are not meant for use with valued or fragile displays. For your treasured quilt, rug or other collectible use our Original Hangers or Mini Hangers. While Casual Clamps themselves do not puncture or otherwise damage your display some stretching and sagging is possible.

Before ordering:
The number of Casual Clamps needed for your display is variable depending on the weight of the textile, the strength of its fibers as well as your personal preference on how you would like it to look. A good guideline is to have a clip every 24 inches or less.
Please make sure you measure your textile's width and thickness. The clamps can only hold a textile that has a maximum thickness of 3/8 inch. If your textile is thicker, order long knobs in addition.
Silk rugs should be wrapped in fabric due to the slipperiness of their fibers. Unevenly thick textiles must be wrapped in fabric so that the textile becomes the same thickness all the way across the width. We sell natural muslin by the inch.
Details / Dimensions: Each clamp is 4" wide by 2 inches tall. All finished hangers are top coated with a clear professional-grade satin finish. Black and white hangers are painted with a satin finish on maple. Both top & bottom are made of solid wood approx. 3/4" thick. 1" knobs extend approx. 3/4" from face of hanger. 1 keyhole slots on the back for secure fastening to your wall. The 1 knob on the front is used to secure the textile in place without puncturing your textile. **Hanging hardware not included. Use appropriate anchors for your wall. We sell drywall anchors for your convenience. Detailed instructions provided with purchase. Each purchase is one clamp. Size, finish/wood and quantity are determined by your selection. Grain and color may vary from photos. Textiles in photos not included.
**Unfinished Oak Hangers: Sanded and made with solid oak. When buying unfinished hangers, we encourage you to wrap the edge of your textile with a natural unbleached-undyed fabric like natural muslin to help protect your textile. Unfinished hangers can damage the edge of your textile from the resins in the wood. If you plan on finishing your hanger, the finish you apply could also transfer to your textile over time. If you are looking for unfinished hangers in wood other than oak, choose the custom listing that has the size range you are interested in.
**Again, please measure your textile's width and thickness. If you purchased a textile online and do not have it in hand, please wait until you are able to measure your textile before placing an order for your clamps. We have found that packaging and listing dimensions vary greatly from actual textile dimensions.
Time Frame: These finished clamps are not always in stock. (All unfinished hangers can take up to 2 weeks and out of stock finished hangers take up to 4 weeks to make.) Other changes to time frame will be noted at checkout.
